So a whole lot going on. Had a freakout in Albany, saw some people I'd rather not have had to dealt with. Freakout leads to me demanding my friends that we go, considering I drove, they pretty much had no choice. Now they won't speak to, that's cool though, fuck em.
The band is coming to fruition pretty quickly. We nabbed a bassist, so currently we're at 2 guitars, a bass and a vocalist. Unfortunately we are in dire need of a drummer and practice space. Sad part is, after all the whining I've done for a band, I'm not sure this is the direction I want to take it in. The other guys in the band are all like into heavier stuff. Making my more melodic, indie grunge thing kinda obsolete.
Got back from a nice night though, got to play some songs at this cafe. It was an acoustic concert, so I was up 3rd out of 6. Not too shabby. Shoulda recorded it though, kicking myself for not doing that. I played Giants In Your Dreams, which is now just referred to as Giants, and Cigarette. I had time for one more so I played a B-Side of mine, entitled, Samantha. Don't expect seeing it up on DA or recorded anytime soon, it's something I like doing, offering concerteers something unique. It's also a lovey song about my 1st girlfriend back in highschool. It's more of a "thanks for introducing me to love" kinda thing rather than a "I miss you" thing. It's been 5 years, I think I'm good.
Haven't seen any movies lately, so there is nothing to really say aside from I am really cautiously excited for the Prince of Persia movie, the trailer looked cool.
Musically however, I just got the new Thrice, Say Anything, Weezer, and Dethklok albums. Thrice didn't wow me too much, it was good, not stellar. Weezer's Raditude is the most awful thing I've heard. Dethklok really got serious and is making some badass music. And Say Anything impressed me a lot, the jesus overtones are a bit intrusive, but I can look past it considering the songs are so damn catchy.
I've been playing Ratchet and Clank a lot too, it's decent, not worth what I spent, but good. Borderlands is fun with others, lame single player. The Ballad of Gay Tony is fun as hell though, I'm upset I beat it, cause now I need to find another game. I played the Left 4 Dead 2 demo, it's good, but I won't buy it. All I really want now, is Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, or Modern Warfare 2, or whatever it's called now. Looks fantastic, and the trailers got me bobbing my head to Eminem again.
And sadly, the last thing I need to say is this: FUCK THE RECESSION, I'm losing the best job I've had in a while because the mall is raising the rent on our asses. The company is too much of a bitch to be honest and tell us the truth, but the signs are all there. So now I hunt, hunt for a job... again.
